The Gospel Revisited...Introduction

Posted on Jun 10th, 2008 by carlosb : Seeker Of Truth carlosb

I grew up in a Christian household where we read the Bible and interpreted it exactly the way that the church said we should interpret it. Some things were taken very literally, some other parts of the Bible were said to be pure metaphors for they could not possibly be literal, and some were confusing all together. What really interests me about the Bible now, now that I have expanded my mind a bit and have learned about Law of Attraction and other spiritual principles, are Jesus' teachings. It is amazing to me how complementary his teachings are to New Thought and New Age principles. He simply spoke about spiritual laws of the Universe that apply to everyone, not just to Christians. Now that I look over the gospel I realize that there were many core principles in his teachings that were hazy before...but are very clear now.
This will be an ongoing series where I will take different teachings found in the gospels and I will analyze them from my new perspective on spirituality.
It's time we view Jesus' words as what they truly are: Deep spiritual principles that apply to all of us, regardless of religion or background.

First day in the community

Well, I've been thinking about doing this for a long time. Finally, I have created my profile! And I cluldn't be more excited about it, cuz i know that I will meet some extraordinary people on this site.
So let's see, what's on the agenda today??
Well, I'm gonna go to my bro's house and chill in the pool for a little while, because it is scorching hot right now.
I'm doing my homework on options trading, which is a very big deal for me right now. I want to learn more about this, get started with fantasy trading when I understand the system, and then start investing from there. After that, the sky is the limit!
Btw, recently saw the movie Juno on dvd. Wow! Great. Funny, and quite frankly, sentimental towards the end (yeah I'm a pussy. I know, I know!).
That's all for now, more news to come.
